Event Description

Perfect for beginners, this class combines two versatile techniques—fused glass and stained glass—to create a one-of-a-kind project.

Perfect for beginners, this class combines two versatile techniques—fused glass and stained glass—to create a one-of-a-kind project. Learn new skills while exploring your creativity in a fun and supportive environment.

On Day 1, you’ll dive into fused glass, cutting, layering, and designing vibrant pieces to be integrated into your stained glass project. Discover kilnforming basics and how heat transforms glass into stunning shapes and textures.

On Day 2, you’ll focus on stained glass, learning the essentials of cutting, layout, and the copper foil method. Incorporate your fused glass designs into a unique stained glass panel you’ll be proud to display.

What to Expect:

Read more about how to prepare for class on our Registration Info page.

While working in stained glass, participants engage in seated and standing activities such as cutting and assembling glass pieces. Handling glass and tools may require a certain level of dexterity. Learn more about accessibility on our website.

Eligibility: No experience required. Open to ages 14 and up.

Pick-up: You can expect to bring some work to fruition during class that can be taken home at the end of class. If anything is made on the last day of class, students will have to return to UrbanGlass once notified to pick up their work.

This is an in-person class taking place on-site at UrbanGlass. Health and safety guidelines will be emailed to you upon registration.

We recommend registering for classes early to reserve your spot! We base materials, and teacher needs off of student enrollment. Early registration not only guarantees your spot in class, but also helps to ensure the class will run. Classes with low enrollment may be canceled within two weeks of the start date of class. Contact our Registrar of Education, Ari Eshoo, at ar*****@********ss.org if you have questions about the class or would like to arrange a payment plan.
