Event Description

Experience a truly immersive “five-sense” calligraphy session that blends mindfulness with the
elegance of Japanese brushwork.

— Mindfulness × Calligraphy × Art —

Experience a truly immersive “five-sense” calligraphy session that blends mindfulness with the elegance of Japanese brushwork. Guided by master calligrapher RIHAKU, you’ll synchronize breath and brushstroke, letting go of everyday stress while anchoring yourself firmly in the present moment.

What to Expect

1. Warm-Up: Center your breathing and practice brush control on calligraphy paper.

2. Choose Your Character: Select one kanji—道 (Michi / Path), 心 (Kokoro / Heart-Mind), or 和 (Wa / Harmony)—and contemplate its meaning.

3. Create Your Masterpiece: On a mini shikishi board from Japan, write in either

  • graceful Gyōsho (cursive), or
  • refined Kaisho (printed) style.

4. Color & Finish: Add gradient paints or metallic inks to personalize your background.

Your one-of-a-kind artwork is yours to take home.

Why It’s Special

  • A Unique Moment – Engage all five senses: the scent of ink, the texture of paper, the quiet rhythm of the brush.
  • Mind-Body Reset – Slow, deliberate strokes stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, inviting deep relaxation.
  • Self-Discovery – Infuse a single character with your reflections and intentions.
  • A Lasting Keepsake – Leave with a tangible reminder of calm and focus.

Let the quiet sweep of the brush create new space within.

Shape your personal “Path, Heart-Mind, or Harmony,” and carry it home as a daily touchstone.

We look forward to welcoming you!
