Discover the joy of plant-powered eating with an interactive evening of cooking, tasting, and grocery shopping in Manhattan!

In partnership with Apollo 360 Health, Plant Powered Metro New York presents a dynamic urban experience near Union Square that brings healthy eating to life. You’ll learn how to turn fresh, seasonal produce and essential pantry staples into simple, delicious meals that support your health.

The evening begins in Apollo’s teaching kitchen with a themed cooking demo led by Chef Rebecca Johnson, PPMNY’s Culinary Partnerships Manager, with Chef Anthony Spino, and Apollo’s Stacia Helfand, RD. Enjoy light appetizers during the hour-long session followed by a full tasting of the dishes demonstrated.

Next, we’ll take a short walk to a nearby grocery store for a guided shopping tour. In small groups, you’ll learn how to identify whole foods, decode food labels, and explore new flavors that reflect the demo’s culinary theme. All participants will receive recipes and a shopping list to help you recreate the meal at home. (Please note: personal grocery purchases are not included.)

Whether you’re new to whole food, plant-based nutrition or ready to expand your skills, this event will help you connect the dots among a healthy plate, a healthy pantry, and a healthy lifestyle.
